“My teacher always said, ‘Alberto, we are here not only to grow corn but to grow Spirits.’” -Alberto Villoldo
Native Americans call corn “maize”. Corn is an English word meaning “ears of growth” and in Europe can refer to any grain.
“Does it grow Corn?” is a phrase based on Native American philosophy. It means that if what you are doing isn’t making your life and the lives of others around you better, then why do it? Corn is sustenance and survival. Ask yourself when you are about to do something if it “grows Corn”. Is what you are doing going to contribute in some way? “Is it growing Corn?” is a question you can ask about any aspect of your life. If the answer is “yes”, continue. If it “doesn’t grow Corn” don’t do it.
