Flower1
Intro to Flower Series – Petals of Passion:
The frame is flower photos and the theme is love. I chose love because the flower is representative of the act of love. It is both the female organ that attracts with its petals, and the male organ that produces pollen with its stamen. Flowers are the perfect state of balance, not only hermaphroditic but bisexual as well.

Flowers also represent the cycle of Life. In the beginning, the flower begins as a bud. As it matures it blooms and eventually produces seeds which take root to reproduce the cycle. Then the flower eventually withers and dies. So, too, our soul, which begins its journey as a seedling from Source, journeys through many cycles to eventually come to full bloom. So never worry, where you are, just bloom where you are planted. And never worry, when you will bloom, as late bloomers are the most beautiful of all.

Flower2
#2: Love is a journey and if we wonder where it will end, we will never travel.

Flower3
#3: Love is a miracle worker for the lonely. Spread it generously.

Flower17
#4: Memories are the back roads of my mind. Traveling down these country lanes, the thoughts of love are gently worn.

Flower4
#5: Loving someone can be such a prickly affair. But don’t lose sight of the bloom.

Flower5
#6: Hermit hearts are simply hearts on hiatus.

Flower6
#7: It is not another person’s love that opens your heart, but your own. Don’t die with an unused heart.

Flower7
#8: Caution! Open heart walking. Love words talking.

Flower8
#9: Let love power your heart and propel your journey through life.

Flower9
#10: Feel like your light went out? Rekindle the pilot to your heart’s passion.

Flower10
#11: Twin flames, twin souls. Open hearts the common goals.

Flower Series 11S
#12: What we see in a new lover is what we think we want but what actually what we have attracted is who we think we’re worth.

Flower12
#13: I can remember the summer day in your smile and love was lying on the beach a long while.

Flower13
#14: I miss you as ever. I love you forever. Ever more. More. I want more.

Flower14
#15: The cure for loneliness is drinking the elixir of self-love.

Flower15
#16: Your love is a sunrise in my heart.

Flower16
#17: Take my lonely, worn heart and make a nest for it. Keep it there warm a while. And while you are at it, take my lips and make them curve upwards. Take my soul and give it hope once again.

Flower Series 18sml
#18: We spend years looking for that big pot of gold only to discover it can’t be found in our wallets but in our hearts.

Flower19
#19: Sing me a lullaby of love. Take me to Neptune and tenderly heal my Chiron.

Flower21
#20: I know I am loved even if it’s only me doing the loving.

Flower22
#21: Come to me in dreams or in day I will not turn you away but always open my heart’s gateway.

Flower23
#22: No true loner is ever lonely when alone because Life is his true lover.

Flower24
#23: I want to crawl behind your eyes to see what you see in me. I want to crawl into your heart to stay there warm a while. I want to crawl beside your soul to bask in its lovely light.

Flower25
#24: Embers growing, embers glowing. The coals of my soul erupt into flames. Blue blazes burn red hot. Because the heart is an organ of passion.

Flower26
#25: Ignorance is to hate. Knowledge is to love. Difference is to hate. Likeness is to love. Let’s give difference a chance.

Flower20
#26: Art is a product of love and love is an art.

Flower29
#27: The human heart is the most resilient organism in the universe. It can be bruised, beaten, broken, and rejected, yet it will rise like a phoenix, still pumping, a spark of passion that will once again burst into flame. The human heart will do this over and over, continuously fueled by love.

Flower27
#28: Afraid of getting hurt? Put a condom on your heart and practice safe love.

Flower30
#29: Your head might echo with everyone else’s voice but your heart speaks with only one voice, your own.

Flower28
#30: Feel with your eyes. See with your skin. Think with your heart. Love with your mind. Use all your perceptual receptacles to track your Truth.

I conclude this series with the following comment: If the human heart were an army, no battle would be lost. If every cell in the body was human heart, it would never succumb to disease. If the economy were a human heart, no fortune would be lost forever. And if the world were full of human heart, no child would be unloved, no adult would be lonely.

The  Soul Globe: Instead of linear models of gender and sexual identity, I propose a holographic model of the soul. An individual’s identity can move to a near infinite number of points in order to learn from different experiences. This movement may happen in one lifetime or over multiple lifetimes. Other human constructs, in addition to gender and sexual identity, such as race, creed, color, culture, ancestry, age, socioeconomic status, and spirituality are also resident on the holographic soul.
SSsq3small

The Transsexual Medicine Wheel: This wheel represents the transition of a transsexual individual to the life and body of desire. The journey begins in the East direction, the place of Preparation. The Transformation begins in the South. Moving to the West, Assimilation begins. In the North, Liberation is felt as jubilation. The final direction is the Center, which is the place of integration. The Self now stands in right relationship to itself in the Inner World and itself in the Outer World.
SSsq4small

Chameleosexual: An individual that is sexually versatile depending on the gender of their partner. An example is an individual that plays the bottom (receptive) role when with male sexual partners and plays the top (active) role when with female sexual partners.

Gender, Sexuality

SS17
Sex, is a physical characteristic of our bodies. Some individuals have male genitalia, some have female genitalia, and others have some of both. Gender identity is a consciousness of who we are. Components of our gender identity include our gender expression and gender role. Sexual identity is a consciousness of who we want to be with romantically or sexually. Components of our sexuality include our sexual orientation and sexual behavior.

SS3
Gender Blenders put all the characteristics of masculinity and femininity together to create a unique blend of gender identity. Gender Blending is the blurring or blending of gender roles. Inside the blender is a combination of astrological symbols that represent Male (Mars), Female (Venus), Neuter (Mercury), and Asexual.

SS5
This image of the divine Male and divine Female, conjoined as one being, represents non-duality. This is the alchemical symbol for the union of Male and Female. The Logos (soul) deconstructs into Male and Female on the physical plane. The 6-pointed star represents the reconstruction of Male and Female into an Androgyne.

SS6
A symbol of Androgyny is created from the union of the God and Goddess. The God is represented by the symbol of the Horned God: a half moon pointing up. The Horned God is Associated with nature, sexuality, and hunting. The Goddess is represented by the symbol of the Triple Moon: a circle representing the full moon in the middle, a half moon on the left (waxing moon of new beginnings), and a half moon on the right (waning moon of endings). The Triple Moon can also symbolize the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone.

SS7
Individuals with any gender identity may use a unisex toilet or restroom. Unisex restrooms benefit families that have small children as well as disabled and elderly individuals that need assistance. In addition, trans* and gender fluid individuals may use a unisex restroom without fear of harassment or embarrassment.

SS8
A symbol for transsexual transformation consists of the Greek letter “X”. As a symbol with 3 bars, it represents the 3 phases of a transsexual’s life: the pre-transition, the transition, and post-transition. “X” has multiple meanings. It is the Roman symbol for “10”, which is the number of completion and balance. “X” is a graphic representation of the interplay of opposites. “X” also represents the perfectly balanced human, one line being the spiritual, intellectual, active, and male side and the other line being the earthly, rational, passive, and female side. “X” represents the union of dualism. It also represents a cross over, as in transitioning from one physical gender to another. And lastly, “X” is short for the prefix “ex”, which means a formerly held position, as in ex-male or ex-female.

SS9
These symbols are representations of gender variance and therefore choice. They graphically portray the concept that gender identity is not linear but can have twists, turns, and even question marks.

SS10
The five-sided pentagon stands for the numbers “2” (the Male) plus “3” (the Female) which adds up to “5” (the Androgyne). Inside the pentagon are the combined symbols for Male (Mars astrological symbol), Female (Venus astrological symbol), and Neuter (Mercury astrological symbol). All are enclosed by the circle which symbolizes circular living, the throwing away of linear thinking especially for gender and sexual identity models.

SS11
The symbols for Mars (male) and Venus (female) are combined with a third arm that represents non-binary trans* people. The strike through the circle in this version represents those individuals that don’t identify as male or female. The inverted triangle was a symbol the Nazis made camp prisoners wear during World War II. Different colors represented different groups. Homosexuals had to wear the pink triangle. Today the inverted triangle has been reclaimed for use as a symbol for pride.

SS12
This graphic symbol has two feathers representing the two spiritual energies, male and female, on a background of the yin-yang symbol. The circle is a symbol of sacred cycles that have no beginning and no end.

SS13
IOZ is a fictional but intriguing concept from the movie Zerophilia*. It is about individuals that are born with an additional chromosome, the “Z” chromosome. These individuals change sex whenever they are sexually aroused to orgasm with an individual of the opposite sex or with another zerophiliac.
*Zerophilia (2005) written by Martin Curland

SS14
The Taijitu (diagram of supreme ultimate) is the Chinese symbol for yin (female) and yang (male). It is a classic symbol for the balance and harmony of opposite energies.

SS15
The Yin Yang Yuen was designed to include a third gender in the traditional Tao symbol of yin (female) and yang (male).

SS4
The word “pan” comes from the Greek word for “all”. Pansexuals are sexually and romantically attracted to individuals of all gender identities. They understand that there is a much wider gender spectrum than just males and females. In other words, being attracted to an individual’s soul, energy, and inner beauty supersedes the importance of the physical body.

SS1
The symbols for multiple sexual orientations. Variations include combinations of astrological symbols that represent Male (Mars), Female (Venus), and Neuter (Mercury).

SS2
The hormones that create secondary sexual characteristics in humans.

SSGS16sml
Standing at the intersection of Gender Drive and Sexuality Street, what direction are you traveling?

Gender, Sexuality

Many individuals do not like to be categorized or labeled in any way. I agree that labels may “box one in” but an individual’s self–identity is critical. We must know who we are. It is labels that translate our identity to language. The spirit world is a place in which souls can be fluid, boundary free, label–less, and uncategorized. However the purpose of incarnating on Earth is to experience dualities, polarities, and various points on a spectrum. From these experiences a soul learns balance.

Many new gender and sexual identity terms have been created in recent years. Some similar terms seem to have little to no differentiation between them. I believe that the new influx of terms is a result of individuals trying to describe their alternative identity. I suspect as individuals become more comfortable in gender fluidity, many of these labels will disappear and we will all simply assume our own unique identity that does not require a label. Perhaps eventually the various labels can be brought together under one acronym that represents the state of infinite choice that multiple identities provide – AGASI, Alternative Gender and Sexual Identity.

GENDER IDENTITIES

Flag Agender  Agender – An individual of any physical sex but with a null gender identity. (Same as Gender Neutral).

Flag Androgyne  Androgynous/Androgyne – An individual that has both male and female gender characteristics.

Also may be an individual that lives a dual life of separate male and female roles including separate names, pronouns, social circles, and identities.
